FREE TAX AID

If you make less than $66,000 and would like to file your own taxes online, go to www.UnitedWay.org/myFREEtaxes/.  If you would like someone to help you at a FREE tax aid site, look below for more info.

Several FREE tax aid sites in our area provide assistance to low income residents, Senior Citizens, or people with disabilities.  Some of these locations can file electronically.  If you are interested in these services, please click the “FREE Tax Aid Sites” button below to find a location near you and call the number listed.  Some locations may require that an appointment be made.

When you go, make sure to take the following with you:

  • Driver’s License (or photo I.D.)
  • Social Security Cards
  • Medicaid Card
  • Last Year’s Tax Return
  • All W-2s, 1099s, B, R, and SSA.
  • Regarding the Affordable Care Act, if you have health insurance through the government marketplace, bring your 1095-A.

If you know of any other locations within our ten-county region that Senior Citizens can receive FREE tax assistance, please call or email Amanda Vingers at 1-800-239-6741 so that she can add them to this page.
