WHAT IF THE LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY ASKS ME TO MOVE?

If a Long-Term Care Facility asks you to move, you can only be moved if:

  • The home cannot meet your needs.
  • You no longer need Long-Term Facility Care.
  • The health or safety of other residents is endangered.
  • You do not pay for your stay.

Prior to Moving:

The Long-Term Care Facility must tell you in writing…

  • The reason for the move
  • When and where you would go
  • How to appeal
  • And that you can stay until your appeal is heard
